Dear students, dear freshmen!
The academic year 2024/2025 has begun and I believe that it will be full of new knowledge, experiences and successes. The academic environment of which you are now a part of, will open your mind and expand your horizons.
Let's be active, ask questions, seek knowledge, participate in research projects, gain experience, be proud of our profession, our faculty, strengthen this loyalty - be proud of ourselves!
During studies we develop the ability to experience and understand a person as a whole physical, mental, spiritual and social being, and learn professional, high-quality and safe treatment of patients. Students leave the faculty as empathetic, sensual, empowered experts in their field.
We must be aware that the health care system and society are facing increasing obstacles and problems, but I believe that the knowledge you will gain at our - your faculty will be the breakthrough of positive changes in our environment. As our slogan says – health and development can only be achieved through knowledge.
I sincerely wish that together we will create "student pulse" of the faculty in which we will feel the best. I also wish that we will actively shape and participate in the everyday life of our faculty. That is why I invite you here to submit your candidacy for a member of the UM Student Council of the Faculty of Health Sciences, because unfortunately nothing can change without you and your ideas. You build your own future - it is never given! Therefore, I kindly invite you to submit your candidacy at the following link: https://ssum.um.si/volitve/ (Candidacy tab for the faculty's student council)
At the end I wish that each of you students will cross the doorstep of our faculty with joy and pride!
I wish you all the best in the new academic year. May all your wishes come true! Let it be full of hope, good will, health and above all, let it be the way you want it to be.
Thank you and with kind regards,
Benjamin Habinc, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs of the Faculty of Health Sciences
